3rd Sunday of Easter (Year B)

Psalm text (Ps 4:1,3,6,8)

Lord, let your face shine on us.

Answer me when I call, O God of my right!
You gave me room when I was in distress.
Be gracious to me, and hear my prayer.

But know that the Lord has set apart
the faithful for himself;
the Lord hears when I call to him.

There are many who say,
“O that we might see some good!
Let the light of your face shine on us, O Lord!”

I will both lie down and sleep in peace;
for you alone, O Lord,
make me lie down in safety.

Gospel Verse (Lk 24:32)

Lord Jesus, make your word plain to us; make our hearts burn with love when you speak.

Psalm text (Ps 4:2, 4, 7-8, 9)

Lord, let Your face shine on us.

When I call, answer me, O my just God,
You who relieve me when I am in distress;
have pity on me, and hear my prayer!

Know that the Lord does wonders for His faithful one;
the Lord will hear me when I call upon Him.

O Lod, let the light of Your countenance shine upon us!
You put gladness into my heart.

As soon as I lie down, I fall peacefully asleep,
for You alone, O Lord, bring security to my dwelling.
